St. Clare’s Primary School’s first-ever Battle of the Books was held for P.5 and P.6 students in the school hall on Friday, 15th June 2018.
The Battle of the Books is a reading incentive program introduced to encourage students to read a variety of books from different genres. Students read books a prescribed list and came together in groups (representing their class teams) to demonstrate their abilities and to test their knowledge on the books they have read.
Students from P.5 and P.6 also collaborated really well with the teachers and took up different roles as setters of questions for the Battle, writers of scripts and hosts of the event.
