Students from P.5 & P.6 who are members of the Debate Club had an opportunity to display their debating skills to the other students from P.4 – P.6, through a mock debate, at recess on Friday, 25th January 2019. They demonstrated their persuasive language skills, analytical skills and confidence in using their voice to present arguments and rebut. By taking on different points of views, these students have developed a greater understanding of compromise.
The English Debate Club is an after school, fee-charging ECA for P.5 & P.6 students. This club has been introduced since the beginning of the academic year 2018-2019.
Students from this club will be chosen to represent the school at the Hong Kong Secondary School Debating Competition (Primary) in March 2019. The affirmative side will be up against Chinese Methodist School (North Point), and the negative side will be up against Canossa School (Hong Kong).
